Your skin has wonderful recuperative powers and is constantly repairing itself.  It is your protective barrier to bacteria, foreign bodies, chemicals, and ultra violet light. It helps to retain your water, electrolytes, and other essential body fluids.  It is your body’s heat regulator and sends out pain signals, safeguarding you from potential injuries.  

If you exfoliate the outer skin layers, it readily grows back, without replicating the problems that developed during its lifetime—wrinkles, sun damage, dark spots, etc. Taking off the outer layers of skin can obliterate a generation of epidermal cells with ultra violet damaged memories. The result is a well hydrated, more youthful complexion.  The epidermal cells are new and the dermis contains more of the substances that make it firm, plump, and elastic.
